Realistically speaking, this can include any number of spirits, and not just those from Mexican or Colombian origin. Cachaca is a distinct alcoholic beverage ranging between 38% and 54% ABV. Originally distilled from previously used sugarcane, Cachaca undergoes a secondary distillilation and refermentation process similar to rum which also imparts a similar rum flavor.
